Chief Minister Poudel assumes office

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hetauda, Feb 12 (RSS): Newly appointed Chief Minister of Province-3, Dormani Poudel, has assumed office at the office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers this afternoon. At a programme organised after assuming the office, Chief Minister Poudel said that making a model city in all 13 districts of Province-3 by mobilizing means and resources for balanced development of the province was his priority. He said that necessary laws would be enacted to run the provincial government. The Chief Minister urged the civil servants to deliver people-oriented service to maintain fiscal discipline. Meanwhile, he extended tribute to martyrs reaching at Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-11-based Martyrs Pillar today itself. DNA test eases action against smuggler of animal part

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Lalitpur, Feb 17 (RSS|): With the animal DNA test in place, action against the smugglers of different body parts of animals has been made easier. The DNA test of animals initiated by National Forensic Lab since this fiscal year has eased the process to take action against the smugglers. Principle Scientist Dinesh Jha said that the animal DNA test has enabled proper investigation which is also facilitating the justice system. “Earlier, it was not possible to distinguish the flesh and other bodily parts of animals”, he said. But now the DNA test has made it possible to identify the body parts of animals even if their forms are changed over the time. In the past seven months, DNA test of four cows and 11 wild animals have been performed. ___
